Lomond Thistle F.C

Born To Compete

Since our humble beginnings back in 2010, it has been our aim to compete on the pitch and do good off the pitch. We’re committed to helping and raising funds for the Glasgow Children's Hospital, and dedicated to representing our team’s principles of hard work and sportsmanship.

A Charitable History

Lomond Thistle was formed by Craig Robertson in 2010 as a charity football team named Craig Thistle FC. The Panda Jags began by playing annually to raise funds for Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow and the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, two charities close to Craig‘s heart as he was treated for a head injury in Yorkhill as a teen. Now retired from playing, Craig and manager Kyle Graham decided to bring Craig Thistle full time into the GCCL, a league that shares the same charitable values as the club. After our first season in the GCCL the club opted to change our name to Lomond Thistle F.C. To this day we still raise funds for both original charities and do so with the upmost pride

Support Us

Lomond Thistle FC is run thanks to the dedication and hard work of the players and staff, all of which are done voluntarily. At the club's heart is the aim to raise funds to aid various charities. The club donates all proceeds to these charities. We do this through various charity tournaments and fundraising nights, as well as accepting donations at all of our matches.
The running costs associated with the club are raised through generous sponsor donations and through donations from players and staff. If you are interested in donating to or volunteering for the club contact us on info@lomondthistle.uk
